Las reglas pueden variar según la federación, pero en general son las siguientes:
Manos: se permiten todos los golpes de boxeo (menos el giro con puño). Se puede pegar con los puños en el cuerpo de la cintura para arriba, cara y cabeza.
Piernas: se permiten todo tipo de patadas (circulares, laterales, Frontales, giros, etc.) desde la cintura hasta la cabeza. En cuanto a la fuerza, no está permitido efectuar golpes con el 100% de la fuerza.

La imagen más común asociada a la ejecución de un kata es la de un practicante de karate realizando una serie de movimientos rituales, bloqueos, y golpes al aire. Los kata de karate son secuencias específicas que van desde aproximadamente 20 a 70 (o incluso más) movimientos dependiendo del grado de dificultad del kata, pues las kata se consideran como bases gestuales que se contienen o complementan unas con otras. Las kata generalmente incluyen combinaciones de golpes de manos y pies, bloqueos, chequeos, desvíos, desplazamientos, pisotones, agarres, algunas luxaciones, lanzamientos, barridos, giros, saltos, desarmes contra armas clásicas, estrangulaciones, movimientos tácticos, manejo de la respiración y manejo de los ritmos de defensa y ataque; que son realizados buscando una ejecución perfecta. Es difícil estimar un número del total de kata.
Por norma general, una forma se define como “un combate simulado entre uno o varios oponentes” y su trabajo responde a motivos como que el kata contiene la información necesaria para que el arte no se desvirtúe, para mejorar los básicos, para obtener atributos como velocidad, coordinación, equilibrio o enfoque, para hacer honor a la tradición, para fortalecer las piernas, para trabajar la respiración, para poder entrenar el arte en solitario, etc. Estas y muchas otras serían razones más que suficientes para entrenar formas sin lugar a dudas.

Formas Creativas - Creative Katas
En las formas creativas encontramos combos de manos y movimientos de brazos, patadas estacionarias, pateo alto, y alguna que otra giratoria que no pase de 360° como por ejemplo la tornado Kick, y ademas tampoco son permitidos los mortales, ni los trickz ni cualquier movimiento de gimnasia, mas sin embargo se permiten los estiramientos (scorpion kick) y splits
Puntuacion
1. Sincronización : Perfecta coordinación entre los movimientos
2. Grado de Dificultad : Patadas, saltos, combinaciones y movimientos gimnásticos. No más de UN movimiento.
3. Técnica: Posiciones, Puños, Paradas, Patadas de acuerdo con la técnica básica de cada estilo
4. Balance, Fuerza y Focalización: Perfecto Balance, equilibrio y movimientos con energía
5. Showmanización: Presencia del competidor, así como la presentación y coreografía.

The Basic SKILLZ program is a preliminary Martial Arts course that focuses on building 5 and 6 years of physical, emotional, social and intellectual skills. We call this SKILLZ program "Basic" because it will help each child properly to develop the fundamental basic skills they are currently acquiring at this age. We are confident that our program can be of great benefit to your child.



CORE SKILLZ
